Understanding Cookies
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your actions and preferences over time, making your browsing experience smoother and more personalised. Cookies can be session-based, meaning they are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent, meaning they remain stored for a set period.
Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and web beacons. These tools work in comparable ways to help websites recognise returning visitors and understand how content is being used. Cookies do not typically contain personal information unless you provide it directly, such as when you complete a contact form or make a booking enquiry for our poker lounge or restaurant.
- Session cookies are temporary and disappear when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or are deleted.
- Cookies are used to remember preferences, improve performance, and analyse site traffic.

- To facilitate contact form submissions and booking enquiries.
Cookie Categories
Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They enable core features such as page navigation and access to secure areas. Without these cookies, the site cannot operate effectively. For example, a session cookie may be used to maintain your browsing state while you move between pages about our poker tables and restaurant menu.
These cookies do not require consent under most privacy laws because they are necessary for the basic operation of the website.
Performance and Analytics Cookies
These cookies collect information about how visitors use our website, such as which pages are most popular and whether users encounter errors. The data is aggregated and anonymous, helping us improve the site's performance and content. We use this data to understand interest in our poker tables, card lounge, and restaurant pages.
For example, analytics cookies may tell us how many people viewed our poker nights schedule or how long visitors spent reading about our card room.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow the website to remember choices you make, such as your preferred language or region, and provide enhanced, more personal features. These cookies may be set by us or third-party providers.
A common example is a cookie that remembers your cookie consent preference, so the site does not ask you again on future visits.
Targeting or Advertising Cookies
We do not currently use targeting or advertising cookies on our website. Our focus is on providing information about in-person poker and dining experiences, not on behavioural advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide notice.
